Part Eight: Epic Road Trip

When planning this trip, I knew we would be sad to leave all of our family and friends in Virginia so we decided to add an extra week of actual vacation with a trip to Hilton Head, SC.  It is our FAVORITE beach and it was the first beach trip for B so it holds a special place in our heart.  This was truly a week of rest and relaxation. We just soaked in the ocean air and stayed in the water as much as possible!

 K had a hard time dealing with the sand...there's always one in each group!

And Ben practiced on the boogie board...we actually found one outside of our room and used it all week!  We even brought it home!

As luck would have it, we got to see Aunt Mandy and Cousin E in Savannah!!!  We had fun seeing each other over dinner AND we got to find out that we would have another nephew!!!  WOOHOO!!

And sadly, the week ended way too quickly...we soaked up as much beach air as we could and hit the road for home.  One last stop was in Birmingham, AL for a fun stay with cousins.  We got to attend  our sweet niece's birthday party and had more cousin fun time!  The kids got to go to their first skating party...it was so special to celebrate with family!
