My Sweet M

My sweet M turned the BIG 8 on Sunday!  I can't begin to describe the joy that he has brought to our lives.  Everyone loves M...his siblings, his friends, and especially me as his mama!  He is so sweet, smart, kind and grateful.  He always comes up to me and says, "You're the best Mom!"  with a big hug.  It warms my heart so much and assures me that I'm doing something right as a mom.  He is a big UVA fan, loves reading and math, plays basketball and soccer, and is a fabulous Cub Scout.  Here's to an amazing boy!

Christmas 2018

Everyone always says that these moments with your children are fleeting and as they are getting older, I truly feel that way more and more.  I can't believe we are getting ready for another Christmas celebration!  We decorated on Thanksgiving weekend this year and it was so much fun!  Each year, we take turns with one child putting on the Christmas star...W was so excited that it was his turn this year!  Our Christmas tree is really a picture tree...I have so many picture ornaments!  But, it brings me joy.  Each year, I give my husband an ornament in his stocking (as well as the kids) and we have fun just looking at the different ornaments over the years.  Lots of memories from the past and it is always exciting to think about all of our memories that have yet to be made...

Walt Disney World VIP Tour

We were surprised with an amazing gift!  A VIP Tour at Walt Disney World!!! We decided to do all FOUR parks in one day...and we were up for the adventure!

Getting in the van and ready for our VIP treatment!

Our amazing guides...if you see these cast members in plaid clothing, then they are guiding guests on a magical VIP tour!

We started at  Magic Kingdom and rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain!  Magic Kingdom is already decorated for Christmas!

Then, we got a ride to Animal Kingdom and got to go in the back of the park.  We were greeted with snacks:)  We headed straight for Navi River Journey and Flight of Passage!

Flight of Passage was the most amazing ride EVER!!!!!!  And the best thing about a VIP tour is that you get to go through all of the fast pass lines!

We ordered our lunch using the mobile order option on the My Disney Experience app!  It was ready for us when we got to the counter.  Satu'li Canteen was our choice in the land of Pandora..it was grilled chicken over rice.  So yummy!

We ended Animal Kingdom riding the roller coaster - Expedition Everest!

Then, we were off to Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios!

We started with Slinky Dog Dash!  So much fun - I can't wait to take my kids on it!

We had to ride Toy Story Mania!

And our last stop was at Epcot and we rode Soarin'...such an incredible ride!

We truly enjoyed our day!  I ended with some delicious food at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival...can we say AMAZING again?

What an incredibly magical way to end our MOMT Conference, and an absolutely AMAZING way to experience the Disney parks. These VIP tours include unlimited Fastpass access, private vehicle transfers between parks and even between attractions, a dedicated Cast Member to service all of your needs, snacks and water provided at times throughout your tour, premier reserved seating at shows, parades, fireworks, and backstage insight into the magic.

Walt Disney World Solo Trip!

Last week, I was able to attend my Moments of Magic Travel conference at Walt Disney World!!  I decided to travel by myself and it was so fun to experience the magic by myself even though I definitely missed my husband and kids SO MUCH!

Here is my excitement when I get to see Cinderella's castle!

I stayed at the Polynesian resort, which is right on the monorail.  I did not get to enjoy the pool, but the slide looks absolutely amazing!

My room at the Polynesian...king size bed and a pull-out couch in this room.

The bathroom...double sinks and full bath and shower!

One closet had a safe and ironing board and it had a small mini-fridge as well as coffee maker between the two closets.

After putting my bags in the room, I ventured over to the Contemporary Resort and looked around in the shops there by myself (because I never get to do that with my kids) and then, I went to check in at the California Grill for my 9:50 reservation.  I have always wanted to eat at this restaurant and this was the earliest reservation that I could snag!  They let me go up the elevator early so that I could see the fireworks from their balcony!

They pipe in the music and you have a great view of the show!  I was in heaven!

After the Happily Ever After show, I only had to wait a few more minutes until my table was ready!  I haven't eaten alone in quite a while so it was very different, but I managed to enjoy myself:)

Appetizer: Braised Beef Short Rib Wontons                                 Dinner:  Filet of beef and risotto

Dessert:  Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake and vanilla bean ice cream
It was a delightful way to end the first day!!!

My second day began with breakfast at Kona Cafe with some fruit and TONGA TOAST!  Very yummy!  And then we had some great presentations and meetings for the day.  We had dinner at Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian resort.

We ended that day with some fun at the MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!!  We walked on to several rides and got in a total of 12 attractions before the park closed!  My sweet ending to a great day was watching the Happily Ever After show on Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction!  I even managed to get a selfie with the fireworks in the background...so much fun!!
