Happy Halloween!!! We successfully pulled off another family theme this year! I wanted something where K could be frilly for her first Disney trip (details later about that) and the boys would love it, especially B! We chose a pirate theme based on the Disney show "Jake and the Neverland Pirates." B was Peter Pan (his choice), M was Captain Hook, W was Jake, and K was Tinker Bell. I wanted to be a part of the fun so I was Izzy (easiest costume EVER). Daddy was a pirate at Disney World, but he gave us the BEST surprise! He got home on Monday and said he needed to set up some things outside. A few minutes later, the doorbell rang and we went to open the door...there he was all dressed up like Smee!!! He made the glasses out of a hanger, reconfigured a Santa hat, and put painter's tape on a white shirt! The kids were SO EXCITED!!! M yelled out, "You can be my partner Daddy!" (since Smee and Captain Hook are always together on the show). And B commented that his Daddy was amazing. Truly melted my heart...
We were so lucky to be invited to our sweet neighbor's house for some dinner before heading out to trick-or-treat. I made some witch hat cookies and some witches' brew punch.
And then we were off to trick-or-treat...such a fun time! K loved her bag...she carried it around like a purse of course! We also lost her bow, but I somehow spotted it in the road in the dark and it was saved!!! I must have had some extra pixie dust from Disney World...
We love Halloween!!!
