Disney World - Beach Club and Animal Kingdom

One of many things that we love in our family is DISNEY WORLD!!!  Our first family trip was in May of 2013...J was not excited, but he wanted to see B and M have fun so I planned a trip.  It was so much fun that he now lets me plan a trip every two years!!!  We went in December of 2014 so we got to return this October.  We decided to celebrate W's 3rd birthday at Disney World and it was nothing short of amazing!  We stayed at the Beach Club resort and it has become our favorite spot.

When we arrived, we headed straight for the pool...it has a fake beach so the kids loved digging in the "sand" and it was basically a zero entry pool.  Ben loved the lazy river and the huge water slide...you walked over to a huge ship and you rode the slide back to the pool.  I loved it too!

On the first day, we went to Animal Kingdom.  We started out at a buffet breakfast at Tusker House and met Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Daisy.  The littles weren't too sure about the characters...

Then, we headed off to our favorite ride, Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you get on an open jeep and ride it through the safari to see some amazing animals.

Next, we went on the Wildlife Express Train to see the conservation station.  You can see veterinarians working on animals and how Disney cares for the animals.

We have never gone to see a lot of shows at Disney World, but this year, we decided to see them all AFTER we went to the Lion King show.  K and W LOVED the shows...K was clapping and dancing to the show and W was entranced by the lights and singing.  It was a great way to rest and enjoy during the warm days!

We also enjoyed DinoLand and digging for Dinosaur Bones.  We visited with Goofy and Pluto again. We saw the shows "Finding Nemo" and "It's a Bug's Life" (not a favorite of M and K).  I convinced B to go on Primeval Whirl, but he did NOT like that either.

We truly enjoyed just seeing the animals throughout the park and being together...

We ended the day with dinner at Yak and Yeti (good meal option)...J and I enjoyed the roller coaster "Expedition Everest" and a dance party in the streets!  SO MUCH FUN!!
