Fun End Of Year Events...

It's the end of another school year and all of the fun stuff that goes along with that...the kids have had a great year in our new home!  They all had great teachers and that is truly such a blessing!

Here are some random pictures...I can't post many because they are with their classmates, but here are fun ones that I got of them individually!

B did his mini-society project by making bookmarks...he sold out! I also went with B on his field trip to Fernbank Museum in Atlanta (great day), attended his field day, and went to his mini-debate for enrichment and his end of year party.  They know how to have fun here!

M was having fun at his sack race for field day!  I also got to go to his first grade play, his mini-debate and puppet show in his enrichment class, and end of year party!

W had fun at his class party - lots of shenanigans going on!  It was a beach theme with lots of fun games and activities!

K also had an end of year party and they both had a spring musical.  They got to stand beside each other and they were singing and dancing!  These two have grown so much this year - they aren't so shy and quiet anymore, but confident and participatory in large groups. I am so thankful for their sweet preschool!

Disney Cruise - Day 5 Castaway Cay

Our last day was at Castaway Cay and it was beautiful!!

The view from our verandah...

Transportation to the beach...

Enjoying the time on the beach with our Minnie Mouse suit!

Highlights from the Disney's private island, Castaway Cay:
- The sand is soft and the beach is very relaxing
- They had a water slide in the ocean and another playground area
- You can rent bikes and explore the island, but we plan to do that on our next trip!
- They had a buffet lunch on the island for you...burgers, grilled chicken and all the sides!
- We also bought sand buckets for the kids to play with that day and some yummy frozen drinks:)

On our last night, we visited with characters again and everyone loved Donald Duck...he's so silly!

We also celebrated J's 13th birthday!!!!

And the night ended with a cute crab towel...

And that is our Disney cruise...it was so amazing and we cannot wait to sail again!!!!!!!!

Disney Cruise - Day 4 Nassau, Bahamas

Our fourth day was spent in Nassau, Bahamas!!!  I admit that I don't have that many pictures from the day because my sister, nephews, me, B and M went on an excursion to Atlantis to enjoy the water park!!!  They had been and stayed there before so they were so excited to get back!  This was the first time for us and it did not disappoint!  We paid for transportation, the day at the water park and a voucher for lunch.  My boys had a blast going down all of the different water slides and enjoying the lazy river with some river rapids as well!  I am proud to say that I went on every water slide with them- IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!  Usually, I have to take care of the littles, but that day was just me and the big boys having a blast and enjoying the day!

Atlantis

When we got back on the boat, it was PIRATE NIGHT!!!  Every Disney cruise has a pirate night where you get to dress up and enjoy a show and fireworks on the deck at night!  We started off by dressing up and meeting Captain Hook and Smee...

Enjoying the fresh air in Bahamas while showing off our swords!

Ready for dinner mates!!

We also splurged and bought the light-up pirate cups at dinner...the pirate bandanas were provided on the boat so if you forget your pirate gear, then they have you covered!

The pirate party was a blast - a great show with Mickey surprising us to save the day AND amazing fireworks!  Get on the top deck early for the show and a great view of the fireworks!

After the show, we enjoyed some ping pong and basketball...

And of course, our night wouldn't be complete without our pirate towel figure and some gold coins!!!

Disney Cruise - Day 3 Key West

Our third day started off with breakfast at Cabana's on the deck...if you get there early enough, you can enjoy the fresh air and can see a passing ship if you are lucky!  And of course, the Mickey Waffles are an added bonus:)

My husband even sported his Mickey t-shirt on the ship!

We arrived in Key West this morning and we were so excited to explore the area!  We did not do any official excursions, but reflecting back on it, I wish we had done a trolley tour.  BUT, we couldn't have gotten a certain picture below...but there was a lot of walking for the little kids.  The big kids were fine and enjoyed the sights!

The beginning of Route 1!

A really cool tree with the most amazing roots...

Ernest Hemingway's home and the beautiful lighthouse...we passed all of these things on our walk on Route 1...

And then we arrived at the Southernmost Point of the U.S.  This was the picture that we couldn't have gotten on a trolley tour.  We were only 90 miles from Cuba!  The water would sometimes spray up and hit you right there.  There was a line to get your picture taken and vendors selling snow cones there as well so you could cool off!

After our walking tour that included a candy store and key lime pie on a stick (SO DELICIOUS!), we ventured back to the ship for an afternoon of swimming and kids club!  My husband, sister and I all scheduled massages at the spa on the ship and it was oh so delightful!  They actually did a bamboo massage on my husband and my sister and I had a hot stone massage.  The facilities are so nice and the staff are very professional and nice.  There is a gym in the spa area  that is free for guests to use during your vacation.  We could really relax by the pool and enjoy the spa while the kids were happily playing in the kids club- they even fed them lunch!

We also came back to our room with a special gift waiting for us!

Dinner that night was at Lumiere's and it was of course delicious!  And Kate and I enjoyed the show together while the boys watched a movie in the room:)

And the night was complete with our dinosaur towel and chocolates!!!
