Part Seven: Epic Road Trip

We really wanted K to have some sort of celebration with her extended family.  All of the boys had been baptized at a church in Virginia so we asked and were able to have her baptized there as well during our trip!  It was wonderful to have family and friends gather to celebrate such a special occasion.  We had the Baptism and then hosted a luncheon at the Boathouse after the ceremony.

The pastor always takes the newly baptized child for a walk down the church aisles...God must have been working miracles that day because K did not cry at all.  Blessings!!!

I wish I had taken more family photos, especially outside, that day but time just got away from me.  I also knew that we would be leaving so it was hard to go after such a great visit.  We are excited for our next time to go back to Virginia!!

Thanks to everyone who made the trip from all over Virginia and North Carolina to celebrate!!!

Part Six: Epic Road Trip

We had so many friends and family members to visit that we tied it into lots of FUN activities!  We had to visit the "RIVAH" and my bestie from high school hosted us at her summer cottage!  I picked up my nephews and we drove to Gammy and Pa's house before meeting C and her boys for ice cream and then fun at the river!  The kids got to dig in the sand, swim out to the boat and just enjoy a lazy day at the "RIVAH" where I grew up!

Me and C...so fun to catch up!!

We also got to hang out with my bestie K...she hosted us at her pool and then we went to the Children's Museum and Chick-fil-A for lunch.

 They loved the bus...

 K and K...so sweet!

All the boys talked about was seeing the fire truck at the Children's Museum...they played on it for a LONG time!!!

The littles loved the play kitchen and Mercedes SUV...

All of the children together...a wonderful reunion!

Me and K...couldn't ask for a better bestie!!

We also had to meet my mom at the mall for a shopping trip and train ride...Gammy bought the kids new shoes and took them on the train!  The littles loved their first ride and the big boys enjoyed it again!  This was another thing that they talked about wanting to do in RVA...

Gammy and the boys...

We also got to cheer for cousin Sam at his basketball game...he is SO good!

At the end of the week, we got to go to Busch Gardens...Ben wanted to go so badly and Em and Angela took us with the nephews to enjoy a late afternoon/evening there!

Ben went on his first "big kid" ride and did NOT like it...

And the week ended with Sam's birthday party (see previous post) and my high school reunion...I won't say how many years but it was great to see friends!

And thanks to Aunt Em, Uncle Beau and Aunt Angela for watching the kids...such a blessing!!!

And this is how I felt by the end of the week, but it was worth it!!!
